About us

At Heavy Man Films, we make stories with heart – and with curiosity. We believe every person, place, or product has something unique to say, if you take the time to look closely. That’s where we begin: by listening, asking questions, and approaching each story with fresh eyes.

Our strength lies in finding that one true thing – the detail, feeling or moment that sets something apart – and building the story around it. Whether it’s a brand film, a food story, or a documentary, we bring it to life in a raw, authentic way that draws viewers in and takes them on the journey.

We come from a documentary background, where trust, instinct, and patience guide the work. That same approach shapes how we collaborate – with care, calm, and a sense of partnership. We want you to feel well looked after, every step of the way.

At the heart of it, we’re driven by curiosity. And it’s that curiosity that helps us see things differently – and tell stories that feel real.

Tomek Heavy Ciezki

DIRECTOR | PRODUCER

Tomek is a documentary director with 14 years of experience, specialising in compelling narratives that explore the lives of extraordinary people committed to unconventional paths. Tomek’s passion for storytelling led him to establish Heavy Man Films, where he serves as the managing and creative director.

Over the  years, he has directed various projects for Irish broadcasters, TG4 and RTÉ. These documentaries are more than mere entertainment; they aim to engage viewers in a deeper understanding of human complexities and passions. Through his work, Tomek offers a thoughtful lens on the world, one that sheds light on lesser-known stories and challenges viewers to see beyond the surface.

Matt Sekowski

DOP | EDITOR

Matt Sekowski got hooked on filmmaking the moment he made his first edit. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a deep fascination with light, movement, and the rhythm of visual storytelling.

He recently joined Heavy Man Films, bringing fresh energy and a sharp eye to a well-worn path – adding new layers to the way we see and shape stories. Matt’s the kind of cinematographer who’ll go far, get soaked, or lose sleep if that’s what it takes to get the shot the story deserves.
